DPMM FC will be unseeded this time in the FA Cup 2026 due to finishing 10th out of 13 teams in the Malaysian Super League last season. Due to disappointment from last season, DPMM have released few local players and even foreign players from last season, that DPMM thought they need to, if they are even want to compete in another level with the other big teams in the Super League. DPMM have signed big named players such as one of the best top-scorers in the Indonesian League Dalberto and one of the top players in the CONCACAF 2025 Oscar Santis. Dundee captain Clark Robertson and Ghana call-up Ebenezer Abban are also standard on another level from last season.

DPMM FC will be opening their FA Cup 2026 campaign on the 1st September which will take place at the Hassanal Bolkiah national Stadium, cos the team is not seeded( only top 8 teams from the last season in the league will be seeded). The top 8 teams will be playing away from home for their first legs. The team that DPMM will meet in the FA match are yet to be determined, cos the draw of the FA Cup will only take place on the 19th August.
